Norwalk, Ohio April 1, 2013 -- The 2013 limited edition John Force diecast car was unveiled today, and it's a stunner. Celebrating 393 years of smoked New England cod, this car is sure to sell out quickly.
"Who doesn't enjoy a little smoked cod, once in awhile?" mused Bill Bader, Jr., President of Summit Motorsports Park. "We noticed that this is the 393rd year of smoked cod in New England, and figured we'd better not let the opportunity sneak by to commemorate that important date along with the 50th anniversary of the track."
The 1:24 scale car does not have scales, but instead features a mouth-watering photo of golden smoked cod on a bed of fresh lettuce, along with Summit Motorsports Park's 50th anniversary logo on the side and the hood. The engine is highly detailed. It is limited to a run of 393 cars and each lucky buyer will also receive 3 pounds of delicious smoked cod and an opportunity to attend a "meet & greet" with Miss New England Smoked Cod 2013 during the Auto Plus Night Under Fire.
The year 2013 is notable for being 50 years since Norwalk Raceway Park, now Summit Motorsports Park, was founded. It is merely a coincidence that is it also happens to be the 393rd year of smoked cod in New England.
"We're planning a lot of fun things this year to celebrate our 50th anniversary milestone, and we're adding many wonderful smoked cod dishes to our food service this year!" continued Bader.
"We were anxious to make this important announcement and couldn't wait until April 1 to make it!"
The car will go on sale immediately. Cars can be reserved by calling the track at (419) NOT-LLLL.
