Concert on Championship Sunday welcomes guests to one fun day!
NORWALK, Ohio – Phil Dirt and the Dozers livens up the party at 9 a.m. July 7, 2013 on Championship Sunday of the Summit Racing Equipment National Hot Rod Association Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.
Self-described as a “Rock and R’oldies” band, Phil Dirt and the Dozers fits perfectly the 2013 Golden Anniversary theme of Summit Motorsports Park.
We’re celebrating fifty years of fun.
Phil Dirt and the Dozers developed lively music and a fun stage presence as a specialty.
You remember Phil Dirt and the Dozers from last year at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals.
Top Eliminator Club members enjoyed special access to the immediate Phil Dirt and the Dozers concert area by the master billboard in the staging lanes.
And sounds of the Beach Boys and other groups from the ‘60s and ‘70s greeted our guests as they arrived for their much awaited Top Fuel treat.
Last year fans bopped on the way to their grandstand seats. How could anyone help it?
Also, one of the most poignant, beautiful a cappella renditions of The National Anthem swelled throughout our 2012 packed house through the musical mastery of Phil Dirt and the Dozers.
We’ll announce more Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals entertainment options as plans finalize.
In the Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, the NHRA points races change like the Ohio weather. Check out the recent leaders and performances of your favorites by clicking on: Meet my faves!
Did you check out the four day Super Pass? For $130 you won’t miss any of the fabulous entertainment and racing July 4-7, 2013 on this Independence Day weekend. The Super Pass includes a reserved seat. Call or order online now. Only tickets bought in advance qualify for the Super Pass deal.
You could call it a mini vacation on nitrous.
This year we packed the Quarter Mile Clothing Company on the Budweiser side of the race track with fabulous gifts commemorating our 50th Anniversary.
Remember your favorite old Norwalk Dragway T-shirt? Whatever happened to it? In honor of the fun, sweat and tears it took to break it in, we stocked up on more Norwalk Dragway T-shirts in blue, tan and military green.
Other items include hats, coffee mugs, beer steins and cuddly snuggly fashions. More arrive every week.
Here’s a practical traffic tip:
To ease the exit of crowds from the race track, we’ll direct traffic out of the Huron County Airport property on Saturday of the Mickey Mart Rewards Cavalcade of Stars presented by Budweiser, during the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals, and after Auto Plus Night Under Fire presented by Kelly Services.
