NORWALK, Ohio – How would you like to tuck your race track ride away into a Crystal SS Vintage Trailer?

A place for everything; everything in its place…

A Crystal SS is a sweet place indeed!

Troy Stone’s family carved a racing niche 20 years ago with Vintage Trailers, 4660 Pine Creek Road, Elkhart, Ind. For a visit to Vintage Trailers on the Web, click on: Show me a Crystal SS!

While you're there. Check out Troy Stone's description of what it feels like to drive a dragster, tire shake and all.

“My father started Vintage in 1993,” said Troy Stone, president of Vintage Trailers. “In 1999 he retired. It was just a business. He owned a building and built trailers out of it.

“I owned an insurance agency,” Troy Stone said. “He asked if I would like to buy him out, and I said, ‘Sure!’ So I sold the insurance agency in 1999 and he retired. Now we have five buildings basically.”

Vintage Trailers lines up as the Official Trailer of Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio and as a major sponsor of the Super 64 season finale.

Each year the Mr. Gasket $53,100 Super Series, the local bracket points race at Summit Motorsports Park, finishes with the Super 64 runoff.

The Super 64 sets about $100,000 in prizes up for grabs.

The top 16 season points earners from each class -- Mallory Super Pro, Mr. Gasket Pro, Wiseco Cycle Tech Super Bike, and Accel Sportsman delivered on time by TFC Transportation -- race until each class names a winner.

Then the final four winners race each other to crown the Super 64 winner.

Each final four competitor is guaranteed one of the Final Four prizes, which include:
•    A 2013 Crystal SS Vintage Trailer with a complete package of amenities for a race trailer.
•    A 2013 McIlvain swing arm monoshock dragster.
•    A V’s House of Horsepower 582 cu. in. big block Chevy engine.
•    A J&J Sales motorsport vehicle.

The 28-foot Crystal SS Vintage Trailer valued at $20,000 features smooth sides with cabinets and flooring, Troy Stone said.

“The people seem to enjoy it,” Troy Stone said. “It’s a high-line, loaded up trailer. It’s got everything a guy might need to stick their car in it and go racing.

“We’ve learned a lot about the product by being racers and using it,” Troy Stone said. “The stuff we put in our trailers is suited to our racers.”

At the Mickey Mart Rewards Cavalcade of Stars presented by Budweiser, Troy Stone races two Vintage dragsters in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series. Just try to keep up with him!

“I’ve raced for 13 years now,” Troy Stone said. “I think what a lot of people don’t understand when they come out to the track is that they think we’re sponsored by Vintage. Oh, wait a minute! We race and we build our product!

“It helps us build our product for people who race,” Troy Stone said. “We know what they want.”

And Troy Stone likes his relationship with Summit Motorsports Park.

“It’s been enjoyable to sponsor the track, and hear from the racers who win,” Troy Stone said. “It’s been real nice.”
