Until then, Ford Nationals kicks in gear June 14-16; and No Box Bonanza, June 21-23.
NORWALK, Ohio – If there were a theme song for the Summit Racing Equipment King of the Track at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, we're reasonably sure your cell phone calendars would play the jingle often.
After all, many of you jotted on your bucket list: “I wanna win a Wally.”
The Summit Racing Equipment King of the Track on June 29, 2013 brings the NHRA Wally trophy home to Summit Motorsports Park for a win surrounded by your best friends and racing nemeses in the Mr. Gasket $53,100 Super Series.
Just win your class – Mallory Super Pro, Mr. Gasket Pro, Wiseco/Cycle Tech Super Bike, or Accel Sportsman delivered on time by TFC Transportation – then beat the other class champions for the Wally. Simple.
But not easy.
That's why this Wally made the bucket list.
Last year David Davis, 22, Toledo, Ohio collected the Wally after a Mallory Super Pro win, over Mike Willi, Westlake, Ohio, Mr. Gasket Pro; Jesse Baker, Newton Falls, Ohio, Wiseco/Cycle Tech Super Bike; and Chad Moss, Amherst, Ohio, Accel Sportsman delivered on time by TFC Transportation.
Can David Davis repeat the feat?
Or does someone else want the Wally more?
Speaking of wanting something deeply satisfying, we need to postpone the Midseason Championship Banquet, also known as the Finish Line Club picnic. That's a bummer for everyone. But we simply must set a different date.
On the sunnier side, between now and June 29, Summit Motorsports Park features two specialty races.
The National Mustang Racers Association Ford Nationals roars to Norwalk June 14-16, 2013 with shootouts, a car show, and a Tremec True Street King of the Street title.
With so many sweet Fords showing up at the track in the last several weeks, as well as the genius of Cobra Jet Mustangs, the Ford Nationals should be one spicy dicey event!
Then the No Box Bonanza stages three races June 21-23, 2013 with each day adding extra fluff to the cash payout.
Last year Randy Biddle Jr., Burbank, Ohio returned to his home track for the Sunday No Box win.
We hope to see you here, having a great time!
