Part of the fun of attending the AkzoNobel, Wanda ‘Blue Suede Cruise’ is getting the opportunity to cruise, race or stroll down the quarter mile track in your street rod. The same track where 300+mph fuel cars raced a week ago! It is not necessary to go that fast, but you can sure have fun trying!
Over the years, we’ve seen Model A’s, bantam dragsters, gassers, pick-up trucks with matching campers and even an old ice cream truck, where the driver distributed novelty ice cream treats to the track crew, stroll down the drag strip. It doesn’t have to be an old race car. If it is 72’ and older and is entered into the car show…then you can take it down the strip!
Each day beginning at 10am, show car participants will be called to the lanes for ‘fun runs’. Fun Runs will last throughout the day and will be co-mingle in between nostalgia drag racing qualifying and/or eliminations.
