This Saturday Night, July 20th, Summit Motorsports Park is pleased to host one of the most popular rock-n-roll vocal groups of the 60’s and 70’s, Jay and the Americans. The group features three members from the original group, Sandy Deanne, Howie Kane and Marty Sanders; and Jay Reincke, who the band affectionately calls the “third Jay” rounds out the group.
During their reign, Jay and the Americans had twelve top 10 hits including “Cara Mia”, “Only in America”, “Come A Little Bit Closer”, “She Cried” and “This Magic Moment”. Their most recent release was written and produced in 2007 “Little Senorita”. To hear these songs, click on the name of the hit.
Jay and the Americans will take the stage Saturday Night at 8pm in front of the Summit Grandstands. Seating is general admission. Following immediately after the concert will be the neon parade of lights, flame throwing contest and the Signature Bader Fireworks. The price of the concert is included in the admission to the AkzoNobel, Wanda “Blue Suede Cruise” where there will be over 2,000 candy color 1972 and Older Magazine Quality Hot Rods, Customs, Classics, Muscle Cars and Trick Trucks; Nostalgia Drag Racing; Huge Manufacturer’s Midway; Swap Meet; Car Corral and the largest Women’s World in the history of the Blue Suede Cruise. A one-day adult admission is $15 or $35 for the entire weekend. Children 14 & under are FREE! General Admission Parking is FREE!
