Kids love coming to the Quick Fuel Halloween Classic presented by Harland Sharp for a number of reasons…hayrides, costume contest and most importantly the CANDY! For one hour, starting at 7pm, Saturday evening, all motorized traffic will come to a screeching halt, so children of all ages can go trick or treating safely throughout the race park, visiting over a 1000 racer’s pit areas. Kids, a small candy bag will not be big enough…you’ll want to bring a pillowcase to fill! If you don’t go home with a year’s supply of candy, you didn’t walk the entire pit area!
Families are encouraged to arrive early, as there are activities all day beginning at 1pm with hayrides for all ages. Rides will leave and return next to the Fellowship Tent on the Summit Side of the racetrack. And, the kids should come dressed up in their pretties, scariest, most original, home made or cutest costume. Croghan Colonial Bank is sponsoring a costume contest and a party, which will be presented by Kelleys Island Venture Resort at 5pm. The judging will be divided into two groups one to six (1-6) years old and seven and up.
The adults are welcome to dress up as well, as Gordon Foods will be sponsoring the Adult Costume contest, taking place at 8pm on the stage near the fellowship tent.
At 8:30pm, drag racing resumes with the Graphics Inc Signs Top Gun’s last round of qualifying and the final round of the special 40th Anniversary Grand Champions Race. The evening will conclude with the Trick Flow Classic Air Show.
Tickets can be purchased at the gate on Saturday. Kid’s 5 and under are free! Admission for children 6 to 12 years of age just $5, and 13 and older $20. General Admission parking is free!
