Summit NHRA Nationals Now All Reserved Seating
IMPORTANT TICKET ANNOUNCEMENT FOR OUR FANS:
TICKET SALES 30% AHEAD OF LAST YEAR AT THIS TIME
(March 4, 2008) Ticket sales for the 2nd Annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals June 26-29 have been very strong this year, so we've had to make a change in available tickets.
We're announcing today the race will only have either reserved seats or standing room only tickets. General admission tickets will not be sold. This announcement went out earlier today to our email mailing list.
The reason for this change is ticket sales are 30% ahead of last year through the end of February, meaning tickets are obviously going fast. We want to give all fans the best experience possible at the race. With a possible sell-out, we want everyone to come to the track knowing they have a seat.
"We have an obligation to our fans," said Bill Bader, Jr., president of Summit Motorsports Park. "We want everyone coming to the race to have an assigned seat. It isn't a good experience for someone to come to the race and have to wrestle to find a place to sit down, especially if you're with a group of friends or your family."
"Many of the popular sections at the NHRA race are already filled for Saturday and Sunday," continued Bader. "We will still have standing room only tickets for fans that prefer to stand at the fence, too. Everyone who has already purchased a general admission ticket will receive a letter soon with their options, and anyone with questions can call us at the track office."
"Please, if you are planning on attending this race, come to our website and buy your tickets soon. When you buy tickets you can look online to find open seats but you'll see many of the stands near the starting line are either full or close to it."
With this announcement Summit Motorsports Park becomes one of an elite handful of NHRA tracks that only have reserved seating.
Fans can buy tickets online or call the track at (419) 668-5555.
