Slone Aiming for 5.80s at Summit Racing Equipment Shakedown at the Summit

Among those planning to pound pavement in Pro Line Pro Mod at the Summit Racing Equipment Shakedown at the Summit presented by Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels is Jackie Slone of Sloneboys Racing.

The Michigan-based driver will be in the beautiful 1969 Camaro-bodied and  David Janes Race Cars-built Pro Mod he debuted late last year and then drove to a sixth place finish in NMCA VP Racing Fuels Xtreme Pro Mod points.

The car boasts a stout 855 cubic-inch Buck Racing Engines-built engine, Braswell carburetors, SpeedTech nitrous systems, Neal Chance converter and M&M Transmissions-built lock-up Turbo 400, and Slone is aiming for 5.80s as he continues to dial in the combination.

The Summit Racing Equipment Shakedown at the Summit presented by Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels, which is Sept. 14-17 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, features a $150,500 combined purse, including $66,600 for Pro Line Pro Mod, with $40,000 of that earmarked for the winner.
