Etna, Ohio – Feb 14, 2013-- Geddex, the company that produces the popular Dial-In window markers, and various other automotive products, has announced a new smart phone application for racers.
In a radical departure from their classic products, Geddex's new patent-pending smart phone application, dubbed the “Geddex Race Alert System,” will allow tracks to send announcements to their racers and fans. Users of the application are able to select what messages they wish to receive. These include class calls to the staging lanes, announcements at a specific event, and more general information from their favorite tracks throughout the week.
A number of tracks and series have already signed on to use the system, including Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk Ohio. “I am very excited to bring the Geddex Race Alert System to our racers and fans. We know that it will help to further enhance the experience at Summit Motorsports Park,” says Track President Bill Bader Jr.
The phone application is already available for the Android smart phone platform. An iOS version will soon be available for those with iPhones or iPad devices.
Established more than 15 years ago, Geddex has become a well known name in the drag racing industry. Purchased in 2011 by Gary Varney and moved to Central Ohio, Geddex continues to produce the sought-after Dial-In, Wheels-Up and Burnout Guard lines of products. The new owner promises to continue innovating the performance automotive field, while providing the best values to the customer.
