VP Racing Fuels Test and Tune on Friday, June 7, and Mr. Gasket $53,100 Super Series on Saturday, June 8, 2013.
NORWALK, Ohio – Are you bummed out by the closing in January of the All Harley Drag Racing Association?
We still are!
This weekend would have been the All Harley Drag Racing Association Ohio Bike Week Nationals. But that event canceled at the beginning of the year, after we printed our season brochures for Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.
We've felt the rumble of the Harley-Davidson Ohio Bike Week presence on the North Coast, and we're glad you're having a marvelous time!
To fill the weekend at the track, we scheduled a VP Racing Fuels Test and Tune with the Budweiser gate on Route 601 opening six lanes wide at 4 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2013 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.
Testing runs from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Cost for adults to race or watch is $12; For children ages six to 12, admission is $5.
Test and Tunes provide a great time to match race against a friend. You'll even have your E.T. slips for proof! Let the Head of Staging official know you want to race each other.
Also, families or a big group of friends can request a special race just among themselves – for a birthday party, for example. Call the Summit Motorsports Park office at 419-668-5555 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for availability to set up the date in advance, and to learn the details.
On Saturday we scheduled an additional Mr. Gasket $53,100 Super Series, our local points bracket race, including three classes of Bear Motorsports Junior Dragsters presented by Wiseco.
Racing fees for car and driver include: Mallory Super Pro, Mr. Gasket Pro, and Wiseco/Cycle Tech Super Bike, $30; Accel Sportsman delivered on time by TFC Transportation and Bear Motorsports Junior Dragsters presented by Wiseco, $20; Lakewood Stock, $15.
Adult admission costs $15; admission for children ages six to 12, $5. Gates open at 8 a.m.
Have you explored our new Summit Motorsports Park Website? Just for fun, go to the RACERS tab, click on it, then click on a class name, such as Mallory Super Pro or Mr. Gasket Pro. Go to the bottom of the page and click on the points standings link to check out the local racers.
