Top Fuel, it's a feeling you get from the first smokey burnout 'till the last.
NORWALK, Ohio – Stunned and delighted.
All emotions jumble together in over-the-top thrills from one stop on the National Hot Rod Association circuit.
Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals, part of the Mello Yello Drag Racing Series July 4-7, 2013 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio lives up to its fame.
As part of Independence Day weekend, are you ready for the speed-slamming, sensory-jamming, star-studded celebration?
After all, this is your mini vacation on nitrous.
A day or two off work, and you're exported into an oasis of dream machines and the best in the business who take them apart and put them together in minutes.
The stars of the show seem to walk right off the Jumbo Trans, shake your hand, pose for a photo with you, and sign your event T-shirt with a Sharpie pen.
Who knew using an event ticket as a free pit pass could be so much fun!
We recommend reserving grandstand seats, camping and lodging in advance, by the way. It's not about us. We want you to have the best time! Call the Summit Motorsports Park office at 419-668-5555, or click on: Enjoy the view!
Would you care for a suggestion for a great date?
This year Jill Canuso, Hanna Motorsports and the new state-of-the-art Queen of Diamonds II Jet Dragster cap the Friday evening fire show of Pro Mod, Pro Stock, Top Fuel and Funny Car qualifying, followed by our Bader Family Signature Fireworks.
You know what those fireworks are for: Sit back in your grandstand seat, pull your loved ones close and enjoy the view!
Also, on both sides of the race track, we packed our midways with so many food vendors, we’re sure you’ll either find your favorite, or discover a new favorite!
Keep in mind you're coming out to farm country. Our Throttle Town Grille serves the best beef and chicken.
Have you visited the Quarter Mile Clothing Company lately? Since 2013 rolled out the Golden Anniversary season at Summit Motorsports Park, we super stocked the store with shirts, hats, mugs, wheel-shaped cereal bowls, plush Delberts, toy dragsters and many more great gifts to honor fifty years of fun!
We even brought out Norwalk Dragway T-shirts, in blue, tan, military green and red. Whatever happened to your favorite old T-shirt, anyway? Maybe it’s time to break in a new one. Think of all that fun!
Next door to the store for a scrumptious treat, check out Wild Willy’s Ice Cream Saloon on the Budweiser midway. It’s known coast to coast: We serve one pound of delicious Velvet ice cream for a buck!
May we suggest creating a special family day of memories on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Summit Motorsports Park?
The Sportsman racers in the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series stage the best variety of beautiful hot rods, dragsters, altereds and Top Alcohol dragsters and Funny Cars on the planet. These family racing teams love the speed and competition. Adult tickets cost $12. Children ages 12 and under get in free. How's that for affordable fun!
On Saturday, sportsman eliminations and two rounds of nitro qualifying pack the track with speed and determination. After all, after Saturday's racing, some stay for Championship Sunday; some go home. They battle the track all day.
Last year so much fun accompanied fans as they filed into the Park on Championship Sunday, we invited back Phil Dirt and the Dozers, the “Rock n' R'oldies” band responsible for those peppy sounds from the '60s and '70s. At 9 a.m. the prerace concert begins.
Then with plenty of red, white and blue sentiment during the prerace ceremonies, Phil Dirt and the Dozers sing “The National Anthem” a cappella. Stunning!
Are you staying for the Winner's Circle party on Championship Sunday? Enjoy the thrill of victory with racing teams and hear their interviews in person!
We'll move tens of thousands of people in and out during Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.
