So….who would have thought 18 hours ago that we would have been able to finish the Mr. Gasket Super Series Points race? Well, we did!
AJ Buchanan saw the winner’s circle for the second time this year, but this time in Mallory Super Pro. Buchanan lined up against Bob Toombs, but Toombs was late off the line. Randy Scheuer Jr. still holds the points lead over Scott Sill by 3 points.
Jason Proffitt, former R&R Auto Body Paint My Ride winner, took home all the marbles tonight in Mr. Gasket Pro by defeating Jeff Fiala. Unofficially Joe Oswald took over the points lead in the class, with Kevin Chess just 2 points behind.
It has been a little while since we have last seen Rick McWaters in the winner’s circle, but he had to line up to Craig Adams who has come on strong this month of September. In the last three weeks, Adams has been in 3 finals. His record is 2 and 1 and one of those wins has earned him a trip to Pomona. Rick Poole still holds on to the points lead in the class by 4 points, with Kevin Adams in second place.
In Accel Sportsman delivered on time by TFC Transportation saw new blood in the winner’s circle tonight, CJ Yaeger. CJ Yaeger was late off the starting line against Katrina Moss, but was able to run on his dial-in against Katrina. This moved Yaeger up in the point standings and he is currently tied with 22 points with Lucas Buckley. James Ring still holds the points lead over Joe Childs by just 2 points.
In Lakewood Stock, Rollie Anderson took home the gold medal against Dylan Northup.
Points will be updated and posted by Tuesday late afternoon. Click here for the results for the finals in all classes.
Next weekend we have a VP Racing Friday Test-n-Tune and our Championship Points Race on Saturday.
