As we have our noses to the grindstone and our eyes on the prize every day of the year to organize and offer events that appeal to racers and race fans, we are enveloped by the goodwill and generosity of those around us, and inspired to respond with an annual Appreciation Award.
This year’s recipient, Paul Bursley, a Krystowski Tractor Sales associate, can often be found delivering tractors to Summit Motorsports Park anytime of the day or night to help spread, lay down or pick up whatever it is that needs to be spread, laid down or picked up, and if he doesn’t have what’s needed, he finds someone who does.
He secured a new Kubota M9960 tractor for track services and provided numerous Kubota RTVs and tractors to move people and stones, and to coax trailers from a rain-induced mud lot at the Summit Racing NHRA Nationals and Night Under Fire. He also delivered additional mowers so the Park Services team could cover move ground and helped provide hayrides for children.
In addition to cruising in his 1931 Plymouth PA, he often invites friends to the track in an attempt to bring even more attention to the sport.
