APD Fantasy Racing

Norwalk Raceway Park is pleased to announce Fantasy Sports have reached sportsmen drag racing! Many of you have watched a sporting event on television with someone who participates in fantasy football, hockey, or baseball. They will often watch the ticker tape of scores and highlights from other games and exclaim, “Great! Ron Dayne ran for 230 yards today, he’s on my fantasy team.”

The thrill of building your own team and advancing through games and into play-off mode has developed into a concept for Norwalk Raceway Park. Tom Larrow, Norwalk’s IT Administrator and guru of all things technical, developed the league and anticipates a strong attraction to the idea.

“Not only is this great for our drivers who will get extra promotion out of it,” Larrow said this morning. “But it is good for the sport. Norwalk is known throughout the country for giving our racers ‘extras’ for the time and money they spend with us. This is one more exciting benefit for racing at Norwalk Raceway Park.”
