2008 TRACK RENTAL
Did you know that you can rent Summit Motorsports Track? The track can be rented for a minimum of six hours Monday through Friday when available. The track can be rented 9am to 5pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; and 9am to 3pm on Wednesday and Friday. You can check the availability of a date by either contacting me or by accessing the 2008 calendar under this tab.
New for 2008, ALL track rentals will enter and exit using the Summit Gate, which is located off of State Route 18. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays you may pit on either side of the race track. We recommend that the entire party pit together. Wednesday and Fridays, depending on the size of your rental, you may be asked to stay on the Summit Side (west side of the track), because we open our facility at 3pm on the Budweiser side for our evening program.
The track rental worksheet will assist you in calculating the base costs of your rental. To calculate your costs, you need to know the following items.
1. How many vehicles will participate in your rental?
2. What type of vehicles will be participating? In addition to EMS, we also require fire protection for certain classes of vehicles, ie Top Alcohol Funny Car, Top Alcohol Dragster, Pro Stock, Funny Car and Top Fuel.
3. How many lanes will be utilized?
4. How far do you wish to have the track sprayed to? (330’, 660’ or ¼ mile?)
5. Will you need to have track staff? (Small rentals typically do not. We will show you and your party how to run the tree; the printer will be at the starting line to pick up time slips.)
6. Base fee of $500 includes basic insurance and EMS costs.
7. If your party is running eliminations, your track rental now becomes an event. There will be an additional insurance cost added to your base cost.
If there are clean up costs associated with your track rental, you will be responsible for those costs as well. A list of fees for using various pieces of equipment and supplies is included on the worksheet. If you request additional track spray, you will be responsible for that fee has well. Last year, the average costs for clean up was $100 more than the base price of the rental.
At time of booking a credit card will be requested to hold your date. Your card will only be charge $100 if YOU cancel your rental 3 weeks or less from the booked date. If Summit Motorsports Park cancels your rental, you will NOT be charged the $100 deposit fee.
Rain policy: Due to the high costs to run the jet dryer and the lack of manpower during track rentals, Summit Motorsports Park does NOT dry the track. We will let the track dry on its own.
