Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio is planning to go all-out for its Inaugural Ken Ganley Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram World of Mopar presented by Arrington Performance, Sept. 22-24, 2023! The event, which will be professionally produced and presented entirely by Summit Motorsports Park with Mopar enthusiasts in mind, will feature three days of racing, Fun Field Car Show, swap meet, car corralmanufacturers’ midway, concert by Trainwreck Country Band and fireworks! It will be a memorable celebration of Mopars, and it will have the Summit Motorsports Park stamp on it! MULTIPLE CATEGORIES FOR MOPAR RACING

Racers will have their Chargers, Challengers, Belvederes, Barracudas, Road Runners, Rams and other magnificent Mopars set up to set sail down track in various categories, including Top Gun Ignited by FireCore 50, A&A Transmission HEMI Super Stock, Mancini Racing Nostalgia Super Stock, Koffel's Place Super Pro, CRT Transmissions Pro, TTI Exhaust Sportsman and Indy Cylinder Heads No Box! FireCore50 is offering a $100.00 cash bonus to winners in any category who run FireCore50 wires and display the company's decal on their car! The number of categories allows for a number of combinations, and fans can watch cars stop the clock at a wide variety of elapsed-times.

The Inaugural Ken Ganley Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram World of Mopar presented by Arrington Performance is a celebration of everything Chrysler and Mopar. As a result, engine combinations in Top Gun Ignited by Firecore must be in the spirit of the Chrysler Hemi and Wedge engines. Based on the Chrysler design, aftermarket vendors like BAE and AJPE are permitted. Aftermarket vendors not based on the Chrysler design, such as Noonan, are not permitted.

Note: No Top Fuel Cars! No Top Alcohol Dragsters! No Top Alcohol Funny Cars!

Door cars must be Chrysler powered and Chrysler bodied. Open bodied cars must be Chrysler powered.

Transmissions: All transmissions permitted.

Power Adders: Nitrous Oxide, Superchargers, Turbochargers permitted.

Fuel: Racing gasoline or methanol permitted. No Nitromethane.

Must meet all NHRA Safety Rules for elapsed time and mile-per-hour.

Electronics, including data recorders are permitted.

Heads-Up, .400 Pro Tree, 1/8th mile finish line.

Top Gun Ignited by Firecore 50 will feature the eight (8) quickest full bodied cars and the eight (8) quickest open bodied cars. Full bodied cars and open bodied cars will be separated until there is a winner from each class, then the winner of each will race for the overall title of Top Gun.

Open to all vehicles originally intended for Hemi Super Stock competition. The following vehicles are only eligible vehicles to compete:SS/A 1968 Dart and Barracuda SS/B 1963-65 Dodge and Plymouth B-Body 2-door; SS/C 1963-65 Dodge and Plymouth B-Body wagon SS/D 1967 Coronet and Belvedere 2-door SS/E 1966 Coronet and Belvedere 2-door 1970-71 Challenger and Barracuda SS/F 1966-67 Coronet and Belvedere wagon 1968-70 Coronet and Belvedere 2- door 1971 Charger and Satellite 2-doorClone cars acceptable. Any NHRA super stock legal hemi cars that fits in the year and body styles posted above. NO SINGLE carburetors cars allowed. Automatic and manual transmission cars will not compete in separate classes. All vehicles must dial at or below an established class index during eliminations

Ballast: Removable ballast limited to 100 pounds. Weight must be installed in acceptable weight box, installed in trunk and attached to the frame or cross member.

Body: a. Body: Alterations or customizing prohibited. Fiberglass or other lightweight body panels are allowed for front fenders and hood. No air dams or non-OEM spoilers allowed. b. Fender Splash Pans: Full inner panels are required, but may be trimmed for header clearance. c. Firewall: Firewall must be original and in stock location. d. Grille: Must be full production for make, model and year claimed. Covering in front or behind grille prohibited. Vehicle must retain stock appearing head lamps, tail lamps and turn signals. e. Hood/Scoop: Hood required in all classes. Hood may be modified to clear legal intake manifold. Scoop must be same as original equipment type for body style used. 1966 B-Body cars may run 1967 B-Body Hemi scoop, 68-70 B-Bodied cars may run Six Pack or Hemi scoop and 1970-71 Challengers may run T/A, Shaker scoop, and 68 Hemi Scoop. f. Interior: Full upholstered and carpeted interior must be retained. Upholstered aftermarket front bucket type seats permitted (two required). Rear seat may be removed when roll bar/cage is installed, but area must be upholstered of carpet leaving no bare panels. Full dashboard must remain with aftermarket gauges allowed. g. Windows: Windshield and windows must be of safety glass, Lexan, Plexiglas, or other shatter-proof material. Windows not required to be operative. h. Wheel Tubs: Wheel tubs of any size are allowed if legal wheels and tires are positioned in stock location relative to exterior body lines.

Brakes: Brakes required on all four wheels. Aftermarket units allowed. Line-locks permitted.

Chassis: Stock chassis is required. Sub frames may be joined. Rear frame may be moved in or reconstructed for rear tire and wheel tub clearance. Roll cage required in all vehicles. Vehicles running 9.99 e.t. or quicker must have current SFI chassis certification sticker.

Drivetrain: a. Automatic Transmission: Any model transmission with torque converter allowed. Any shifter allowed. Transmission brake allowed. b. Manual Transmission: Aftermarket 4-speed transmission and manual shifter allowed. No “clutchless” or planetary Lenco-type transmission allowed. Clutch must be activated by normal foot motion without the aid of any electronic or pneumatic device. c. Rear End: Any rear end allowed, provided it was original equipment in an American production car. Aftermarket housings and axles, along with any gear ratio, are allowed. d. Driveshaft Loop: Required.

Electronics: Limited electronics permitted. See “General Racing Rules”.

Engine: a. Block: Engine block restricted to Chrysler 426 cubic inch Hemi design, must be original assembly line block or aftermarket replacement block. Aluminum blocks allowed. Any displacement and internal modifications are allowed. b. Carburetion: Any two four-barrel carburetors accepted. Carburetors must outwardly appear stock with the exception of the deletion of the choke valve, choke shaft and linkage. c. Cylinder Heads: Aluminum aftermarket heads allowed, must retain original external overall appearance. Any internal modifications allowed. d. Intake Manifold: Any dual four-barrel intake manifold permitted provided it fits under stock style hood. e. Oiling System: Dry sump systems not allowed.

Fuel: Only gasoline fuel is permitted. Aftermarket fuel cells, electric fuel pumps and regulators allowed. No nitrous oxide.
 
Ignition: Any aftermarket ignition systems, wiring and electronic conversion kits are allowed. See “General Racing Rules” for electronics restrictions.

Steering: Stock steering required.

Suspension: Stock front suspension required. Front suspension limiters permitted. Sway bar optional. Solid bushings in rear suspension allowed. Leaf springs may be moved inboard for tire clearance. Ladder bars or four-link rear suspensions allowed. Wheelie bars required on all hemi cars 10.00 or faster.

Mancini Racing Nostalgia Super Stock is an index-style foot brake only class for the year models, body styles and engine combinations which accurately represent cars which raced in the A/FX and Super Stock classes of the 1960s. Certain exceptions in the authenticity of these cars will be allowed. Among those exceptions, but not limited to, are factors concerning safety, equality in performance, availability and durability. Classification will be based on a visual inspection and an ET range. No modifications which alter the car from factory stock are permitted unless they are specifically allowed in these rules, or as authorized by the rules committee. Sandbagging, excessive braking near the finish line or excessive mph for a given ET is subject to result in a disqualification.

FUN FIELD CAR SHOW

Hundreds of cars, from classic to contemporary, are expected for the non-judged Fun Field Car Show on Saturday and Sunday at the Inaugural Ken Ganley Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram World of Mopar presented by Arrington Performance. The Fun Field Car Show begins when gates open at 8 a.m. and lasts all day.

CAR CORRAL

Enthusiasts are invited to gather and park their Mopars in a car corral, which is sure to be enjoyed by others attending the event.

SWAP MEET AND MANUFACTURERS' MIDWAY

Enthusiasts can find parts and other items for their Mopars at the swap meet, and talk with experts in the manufacturers' midway. Both will be conveniently located near the car corral and the action at this highly anticipated inaugural event!

CONCERT BY TRAINWRECK COUNTRY BAND

Trainwreck Country Band is popular among Summit Motorsports Park racers and race fans, and they will have everyone singing and dancing on Saturday night at this event. They may even invite a racer or race fan to join them on stage!

Named Track of the Year 22 times by the NHRA, IHRA and NMCA, Summit Motorsports Park works hard to welcome racers and race fans to a well-kept facility at each and every event.

The grounds are clean, the parking lots are well-lit and paved and grass pit areas are offered.

Permanent bathrooms are maintained at all times during events, and some have showers. Portable bathrooms also are available.

Throughout clean, comfortable and convenient dining areas, guests will find breakfast, lunch and dinner selections, including burgers, sandwiches, pizza and stromboli, as well as fries, nachos and hot pretzels, among other favorites. Various beverages are available, including water, pop, coffee, Budweiser beer and more. 

Wild Bill's Ice Cream Saloon, where a pint of Velvet ice cream costs $3, is a popular place to stop in the dining area. Ice cream is available in Original Vanilla, Butter Pecan & Cashew, Dutch Chocolate, Buckeye Classic, Cookies 'N Cream, Moose Tracks and Raspberry Fudge Cordial.

The Quarter Mile Clothing Company is stocked with apparel, souvenirs, novelty items and much more.

Fuel pumps, firewood, golf cart rentals from Dornan's Sales and Service, car parts and water hauling are available at most events. 

Guest Service locations are prominently placed in the park.
