Results of Aug. 19, 2023 Edelbrock Super Series Race
The sun was shining over racers at this second to last points race of the 2023 season at Summit Motorsports Park.

After several rainy Edelbrock Super Series events, racers finally got to compete under clear skies on Aug. 19, 2023 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.

As usual, the numbers on the tree and the top end of the track showed they have the talent it takes to win at America’s Racetrack.

In the final round of eliminations in Edelbrock Super Pro, Dustin Tackett drove to a 4.92 and the win over Don Kiger and his 6.33.

Edelbrock Pro saw longtime Summit Motorsports Park racers Victor Ellinger and Bryan Workman stage next to each other after a long day of racing, and Ellinger hammered the tree with a .002 and won with a 5.99 over Workman, who gave Ellinger a good race with an .017 and a 6.43.

Wiseco/Cycle Tech Super Bike features some of the finest motorcycle riders in the country, and it is always anyone’s guess who will pull off the win. This time around, it was TJ Davis, who paired an .016 reaction time with a 7.65 elapsed time to take out tough opponent Kevin Adams, who arrived at a 7.94.

In the final round of eliminations in Edelbrock Sportsman Delivered on Time by TFC Transportation, Alyssa Galanek, the 2018 class champion, took a trip to the Summit Motorsports Park Winner’s Circle with an 11.83 against Daniel Fayer, who turned in a 15.38.

In Bear Motorsports Advanced Junior Dragster presented by Wiseco, Abigail Baker, who had a nice .020 reaction time and a 8.35 elapsed time, defeated Braden Peters, who drove his cool junior dragster to a 7.93.

The final round of eliminations in Bear Motorsports Intermediate Junior Dragster presented by Wiseco featured Trey Dean and Bella Patton, and Trey took the win with an 8.98 after Bella turned on the red light with a frustratingly close -.007.

In Bear Motorsports Novice Junior Dragster presented by Wiseco, Adeline Lawson landed the win with an 11.95 against Jacob Vile, who went through at 13.96.

Len Searl, who had a better reaction time than Kevin Sorgen, won in Edelbrock Stock with a 12.44 to Sorgen’s 18.74.

In NHRA Junior Street, Brayden Bailey cruised to the win with a 12.56 against Ashtynn Prelipp, who stopped the timer at 11.14.

The stage is now set for a fantastic finale to the 2023 Edelbrock Super Series season on Sept. 9, when 2023 championships will be cemented.
