The 46th Annual Cornwell Tools Night Under Fire on Aug. 5, 2023 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, is set to be a star-studded spectacle, and it was just confirmed that Top Sportsman racers will also take the stage!

The R&R Auto Body Top Sportsman Shootout will feature eight of the finest Top Sportsman racers from the Midwest who were personally invited to race for a guaranteed purse of $5,000 in front of a packed house at the event which is also a celebration of the 60th anniversary of Summit Motorsports Park and the 50th anniversary of the Bader family’s ownership of it!

The personally invited racers are Scott Wasko, who won in Top Sportsman at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals, Jerry Albert, a two-time NHRA North Central Division Champion and Jegs All Star Champion, and the always-competitive Ron Biondo, Dwayne Gallogly, David Paone, Motor City Mike Sowards, Gary Wojnowski and Brian Yanchik.

“It’s no secret that Top Sportsman has always been one of my favorite categories, so I’m thrilled to introduce these racers to the lineup for the 46th Annual Cornwell Tools Night Under Fire,” said Bill Bader Jr., Summit Motorsports Park president. “Our fans also love Top Sportsman, and I can’t wait for them to see these incredibly fast and forcible cars under the lights at this hallmark event.”

The event will also feature the Hooligans Flight Team; Funny Car racers John Force, Ron Capps, Robert Hight, Cruz Pedregon, Tim Wilkerson and Dale Creasy Jr.; Jet Dragster drivers Ernie Bogue, Russ Glover, Jeff Hoekstra, Al Zukauskas, Josh Graham, Dawn Perdue and David Gates; Jet Truck performer Hayden Proffitt; Top Fuel Harley-Davidson Motorcycle riders Ryan Peery, Jay Turner, Tii Tharpe, Randal Andras, Chris Smith and Bob Malloy; Joe Sylvester, who set a Guinness World Record for the World's Fastest Monster Truck at last year's event; Wheelstanders, Outllaw Dragster, Scottrods AA/Gassers, Top Alcohol Dragster racers JP Gutierrez and Corey Michalek, Edelbrock Super Series Elite presented by Lucas Oil and Rocko Machine, $125,000 Bader Family Signature Fireworks Finale and Trainwreck Country Band!
