The annual Cometic Gasket Halloween Classic presented by Harland Sharp at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio is an event steeped in tradition.

Contributing to that are the races, racers and costumes contests, as well as the pumping carving, trick-or-treating, hayrides and so much more.

But also beloved by many was hearing one of the park’s longtime announcers, Skeet Peaco, call the action and activities, along with Evan Bader, Bill Bader Jr. and other announcers through the years.

In memory and in honor of Skeet Peaco, who passed away last November, Summit Motorsports Park is proud to share that the Token Joke Day is now called the Skeet Peaco Token Joke Day presented by Mickey Thompson. We feel it’s fitting for the man who was at delivering jokes, deadpan or otherwise.

This year’s week-long Cometic Gasket Halloween Classic presented by Harland Sharp is Oct. 9-17, and the Skeet Peaco Token Joke Day presented by Mickey Thompson is Oct. 14. As part of it, racers can take their jokes to race control to be read over the public address system during the day.

The winner will receive a set of Mickey Thompson slicks, as well as a Cometic Gasket Halloween Classic presented by Harland Sharp main event entry, warm-up entry, gamblers' race of choice entry and one crew member entry complements of Skeet Peaco's family. 

This day also features tech, time trials, the Moser Engineering No Box Hi Roller's Race and Dornan's Sales and Service Box Hi Roller's Race.
