Biddle & Buchanan Big Winners in Hi Rollers Races at Halloween Classic

Wicked reaction times, wheelies and even witches were part of the wild fifth day of the week-long Cometic Gasket Halloween Classic presented by Harland Sharp, Oct. 26 at Summit Motorsports Park.

In the Dornan’s Sales & Services Box Hi Rollers Race, Bill Riddle of Brighton, Michigan rocketed to an .010 reaction time and a 4.66 on his 4.66 dial in his dragster to defeat Kristen Kiger of Massillon, Ohio, who turned on the red light in her Chevy II before lifting to a 6.09 on her 5.81 dial.

After bumping into the beams an eighth of an inch at a time, A.J. Buchanan of Vickery, Ohio blew to an .012 reaction time and a 6.31 on his 6.31 dial in his Mustang to win in the Moser Engineering No Box Hi Rollers Race over Casey Griffith of Minerva, Ohio, who oh-so-slighly dipped under her 7.75 dial with a 7.749 in her Camaro.

The funnies were flying throughout the day as Summit Motorsports Park announcers shared jokes submitted by racers and race fans as part of Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels Token Joke Day.

On tap for Friday, Oct. 27, in addition to more racing, is the Trick Flow Specialties Limerick Day, a pumpkin-carving party, 2-6 p.m. and a performance by Trainwreck Country Band, which will begin after the race.
