Summit Motorsports Park was recently recognized for its intense racing — and ice cream — by mega media outlets Drag Illustrated and Competition Plus.

In a story written by Josh Hachat of Drag Illustrated with the headline “The DI Awards: Looking Back on the Best of 2018," the 41st Annual Kelly Services Night Under Fire, held last summer at Summit Motorsports Park, received the Best Specialty Night Of Racing Award, and the park’s pound of Velvet ice cream for $1 received the Best Concession Food Award, with Hachat teasing “We don’t foresee this award changing anytime soon, possibly ever.”

As part of the ARP Question of the Week on Competition Plus, for which the question posed was “What’s your favorite NHRA national event venue?” Summit Motorsports Park, which hosts the annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals, was chosen.
