In celebration of the country’s Independence Day on Wednesday, July 4, Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio will be closed June 29 through 8 a.m. July 5.
Racers will return to the track surface — where records were set during the recent Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals — for test and tune, July 6, the Edelbrock Super Series, July 7 and the 21st Annual Dick Miller Racing Buick, Oldsmobile Cadically Race/Show Nationals, July 8.
Soon, street rods will roll in for the 17th Annual Lingenfelter Performance Blue Suede Cruise, July 13-15, Chryslers will convene for the 6th Annual Monster Mopar Weekend, July 27-29 and Trans Ams, Tempests and other Pontiacs will take over for the 27th Annual Ames Performance Pontiac Nationals, Aug. 3-5.
The 41st Annual Kelly Services Night Under Fire will be a spectacle with more than fifty performers, fireworks and special effects, Aug. 11, cars cruising with power-adder and naturally aspirated combinations will capture attention at the 17th Annual NMCA All-American Muscle Nationals, Aug. 24-26 and the Summit Racing Equipment Shakedown at the Summit presented by Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels will see some of the quickest and fastest door cars in the country, Sept. 13-16. Sportsman racers will gather for racing, costume contests and more at the Cometic Gasket Halloween Classic XLV presented by Harland Sharp, Oct. 13-21.
