Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio is pleased to announce that Morgan Hixon has accepted an event planner position.
Hixon is from Plainfield, Illinois, and will graduate with a marketing degree in December from the University of South Florida, where she’s a member of the Delta Gamma sorority.
Most recently, she worked as an intern for ProMedia, the parent company of Holley NMRA Ford Nationals and NMCA Muscle Car Nationals, and in various capacities at other racing events.
Hixon will join the Summit Motorsports Park team on January 11, 2021. In her important role, she will help plan and coordinate events, and set up vendors and entertainment. She also will have a hand in scheduling, basic operations and much more.
“This past year and a half, I dedicated as much of my time to racing events as I possibly could,” said Hixon. “My goal was to grow my network and connections to be able to find a more full-time position in the industry I love. I just accepted my dream job. The way everything happened was really something that is still surreal to me. I cannot put into words how excited I am going into this 2021 season. I really think it will be the best year yet.”
Hixon, who also races her father’s Buick GSX as often as she can, will come to Summit Motorsports Park just as planning and preparation intensifies for the 2021 season, which begins with the highly anticipated 40th Annual Spring Warm-Up on April 10.
