Hundreds of hot rods will have the spotlight at the 18th Annual Lingenfelter Performance Engineering Blue Suede Cruise presented by ScottRods Custom Hotrods and Fiberglass on July 12-14 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, and among them will be a 1948 Fiat sedan delivery roller to be given away.
Built by ScottRods Custom Hotrods and Fiberglass, the chock-full of character custom fiberglass body will have a dashboard, hinged and latched doors and custom radiator-surround, and it will wear a gloss black Gelcoat finish. It will feature a custom-fabricated chassis with front suspension components including a gun-drilled axle with traverse leafspring, hairpin radius rods, shocks, disc brakes and Unisteer rack and pinion steering, and rear suspension components including a four-link with coilover shocks, Ford 9-inch rear-end housing with 31-spline axles and drum brakes.
It will roll on new wheels and tires, and the entire package is valued at $20,000.
“Scott Leber (of ScottRods Custom Hotrods and Fiberglass) has quickly elevated ScottRods to one of the most sought-after builders in the country and his work reflects it,” said Bill Bader Jr., president of Summit Motorsports Park. “We’re blessed to be neighbors and friends. This year’s giveaway once again raises the bar and I can’t wait to give it away!”
To be included in the drawing for the 1948 Fiat sedan delivery roller, racers should fill out entries and return them to the park’s Guest Service building before 11:15 a.m. July 14, which is when the drawing is scheduled to take place on the race track. Those participating in the drawing must be present to win.
Please watch for photos of the 1948 Fiat sedan delivery roller as it nears completion in the weeks to come.
