The NHRA Summit Racing Equipment Racing Series ET Bracket Finals on Sept. 12-15 at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indiana will be even more enticing for racers from Summit Motorsports Park.
That’s because in addition to chasing a Division 3 championship there with the possibility of going on to chase a World championship at the Auto Club NHRA Finals at Auto Club Racewayin Pomona, California, there will be two bonus races for Edelbrock Pro, Edelbrock Super Pro, Edelbrock Sportsman Delivered on Time by TFC Transportation and Wiseco/Cycle Tech Super Bike racers to enter.
The first one will be on Friday, Sept. 13, and the second one, which is for racers who lose in the first and second rounds of eliminations, will be on Sunday, Sept. 15. For Super Pro, Pro and Sportsman racers, NHRA will pay $1,000 to winners, $400 to runners-up, $150 to semifinalists and $75 to quarterfinalists, and for Bike racers, NHRA will pay 60 percent to the winner and 20 percent to the runner-up.
And, in recognition of the achievement, Summit Motorsports Park will match the amount of money winners, runners-up and semifinalists from Summit Motorsports receive in the bonus races as well as any race that is part of the event that weekend.
“We have upped the ante for winners, runners-up and semifinalists,” said Bill Bader Jr., president of Summit Motorsports Park. “It will be very exciting to match what they win, and present them with checks at the Edelbrock Banquet of Champions presented by Lincoln Electric at Kalahari Resorts and Conventions, Jan 17-19, 2020 in Sandusky.”
