Jason Keller in the Spotlight as 2021 Summit Motorsports Park Wiseco/Cycle Tech Super Bike Champion
The rider is also our 2021 Most Improved Racer.

When Jason Keller was fourteen, he walked over to his neighbor’s house to watch him work on his motorcycle.

Before long, Jason was going to the track to watch him race his motorcycle, and everything about the experience excited him. The sound of the motorcycles, and the sight of them motoring down track, made him want to twist the throttle and take off.

So Jason asked his father if they could swap the truck that they were building for him to race with a motorcycle that his neighbor, Phil Tinsley, was building, because Jason had decided that he wanted to race a motorcycle.

He was certain it would be fast, fun and right up his alley.

By the fall of 2000, Jason was racing his motorcycle at Summit Motorsports Park, because Phil had told him that if he wanted to be any good at it, he would have to be racing against the best.

Jason discovered immediately that it was incredibly difficult, but he was fully immersed, and having the time of his life with like-minded competitors. Through the years, he has crushed challenges and overcome obstacles, and that has served him well as he has secured round wins, race wins and many rewarding moments.

While Jason faced adversity in 2021, he continued to fight to find success. He didn’t give up, and neither did the people who support him, including the entire Wiseco/Cycle Tech Super Bike category, as well as his wife, Lisa, daughter, Zoey, son, Zander, parents, John and Sarah Keller, brother, Josh, and crew member Bill Adams.

As a result, he rode to his first championship at Summit Motorsports Park.

Jason was honored for that accomplishment, and named 2021 Most Improved Racer of the Year, at the 48th Annual Edelbrock Performance Banquet of Champions presented by Lincoln Electric, January 29, 2022 at Kalahari Resorts and Conventions in Sandusky, Ohio. - Mary Lendzion
