Results of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering Speed City, USA on May 19
The next Lingenfelter Performance Engineering Speed City, USA is set for June 2 at Summit Motorsports Park.

Fun, midweek racing was in full force for the third Lingenfelter Performance Engineering Speed City, USA of the season on May 19, 2021 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.

In the High School category, Seth Farmer secured the win with a 14.80, while Aaron Austinson arrived at the runner-up with a 15.06.

Jim Ponczocha picked up the win with a 17.57 and a better reaction time than John Schaser, who turned in a 17.04, in the Truck and Van category.

The Stock final saw Steve Kuska collect the win with a 12.62 and a better reaction time than Carson Nealey, who drove to a 15.23.

Riders Ray Miller and Ron Sprout muscled their way to the Motorcycle final, where both of them leaped off the line a little too soon and turned on red lights, but Miller, who was -.016 red, won with a 10.78 and Sprout, who was -.30 red, stopped at a 9.05 to runner-up.

In Modified Stock, Dale Boyer backed up last week’s win with a .001 reaction time and a 12.32 against Mike Imhoff, who settled in at 10.72 for the runner-up finish. 

With a .008 reaction time and a 10.94, Kim Moritz earned another win in Super Stock, while Mike Defranco drove to the runner-up finish with a 9.25.

Kenneth Adams II was victorious with a 13.63 in the Trophy category against Daniel McQuade, who finished as the runner-up with a 15.59.

Speed 1 and Speed II were heads-up races for those who lost in the first round of eliminations in other categories. Jim Swanger rode his motorcycle to a 5.78 to win and Tim Sublett traveled to a 5.80 to runner-up in Speed 1, while Colin Bellamy blasted to a 7.23 on his motorcycle to win and Penny McGrew had issues, couldn’t complete the pass and finished as the runner-up in Speed II.

The next Lingenfelter Performance Speed City, USA is set for June 2, followed by June 9 and 16; July 7, 14, 21 and 28; Aug. 11, 18 and 25 and Sept. 1, 8, 22 and 29. Gates will open at 4:30 p.m., with time trials at 5 p.m. and eliminations at 8:30 p.m.
