14th Annual Cavalcade of Stars presented by Budweiser; NHRA Lucas Oil Race
Our first major race of the new seaon...Featuring SATURDAY NIGHT OF FIRE!®, Jet Funny Cars, Top Alcohol Dragsters & Funny Cars and Pro Mods!

The Cavalcade of Stars presented by Budweiser officials kicks off the North Central Division NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Season which has become a fan favorite on the NHRA Lucas Oil Tour!

SATURDAY NIGHT OF FIRE!®  GETS Kid’s 5 & Under in FREE! And will feature...

A pair of JET FUNNY CARS.  These unique machines propelled by fire breathing jet engines (the same engine that an F-5 fighter plane uses) will reach speeds over 270mph and can produce 4000 HP!  Each burner pop can be felt deep down in your chest and you will feel the heat from the jets on your cheeks as they fly down the drag strip!  The jets from Hanna Motorsports stable (Rich Hanna "GOJO Firebird"; "Top Secret") will demonstrate this for the race fans!  Bring your cameras and cell phones and film all the action!

Top Alcohol Dragster & Funny Cars, are considered among the fastest accelerating vehicles in the world!  They can cover the quarter mile in just over 5 seconds at speeds over 270mph, and produce an estimate of 3,000 horsepower!  Alcohol will qualify once on Friday; twice on Saturday and first round of eliminations will take place during the SATURDAY NIGHT OF FIRE!® program.

The R&R Auto Body/DeCerbro Construction Extreme 8 Rumble Wars Pro Mods, kicks off their season during the Cavalcade of Stars.  These big tire, nitrous burning, supercharged/turbcharged beasts will race the 1/8th mile in just over 3.6 seconds touching speeds over 200mph.

In addition, there will be over 500 sportsman racers, competing in Comp Eliminator, Top Sportsman, Top Dragsters, Stock, Super Stock, Super Comp, Super Gas, Super Street and Pro Stock Snowmobile.  Many of these racers will be back in June, chasing their dreams of being the next World Champion in their respective classes.

FAN AND RACER INTERACTION Fans can meet and interact with the Future Stars of Tomorrow in their pit areas.  This is not customary in most motorsports venues or even stick & ball arenas.  But this is just part of “what we offer” here at Summit Motorsports Park.  And, there is NO additional fee, it’s included in the price of your admission and there are NO restricted hours! Bring your cameras and memory books!

This is Good ol’ Fashion FAST…Family-Friendly Entertainment...you don't want to miss!
