Monday Night’s Pizza Party was a huge success thanks to Weazy’s Italian Eatery out of Sandusky OH as they donated a variety of their famous pizzas everything from Margherita, Buffalo Chicken to Veggie Delight pizza. The racer’s seemed pleased with this new variety, as there wasn’t a single slice left!
At the same time, underneath the Summit Grandstands, the Candy Corn Hole Tournament presented by Moto Lenz Photos and Gardner’s Super Valu took place. Moto Lenz Photos provided t-shirts to all the participants as each participant received a sweet treat, a canning jar full of candy corn, from Garner’s Super Valu.
Sixteen teams started the tournament and the one that rose to the surface was team “Baby, Let it BURNS". This husband and wife duo from Fredericktown, OH has become one of the toughest teams to beat in the annual corn hole tournament. In five years, Jodi and Nathan Burns have been to three finals and have now won it for the second time. For their efforts they earned gold medals and a set of corn hole boards, courtesy of Graphics Inc Signs and Mikes Collision.
Baby, Let it BURNS had a commanding lead in the beginning, but Mark Brewer and Matt Talyas “Team Dream” wasn’t going to go down without a fight. Both teams played a good game, in the end Nathan Burns sinks two bags in the hole to ‘seal the deal’ and the game was over.
Tonight’s activities, the General RV Mean Motorhome races. These ‘mean machines’ all deck out in Halloween attire, will invade the drag strip at 6pm! The rules for this race are simple, no delay boxes or throttles stops, and all entrants are required to have passengers! The more the merrier! Last year’s winners AJ Buchanan (Class C) and Joe Oswald (Class A) are certain to enter again this year to defend their titles. Will someone be able to dethrone either one of them?
