The annual Shootout at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, is a legendary pilgrimage for the import racing world, transforming the pristine dragstrip into an explosive showcase of high-performance engineering.  Held in the crisp, horsepower-friendly air of early September, this event is historically the world's longest-running continuous import drag race, celebrated for being the world's largest gathering of DSM, EVO, and GTR platforms.

The atmosphere is a visceral blend of high-octane excitement and intense, focused competition: the air thrums with the distinctive metallic snarl of four-cylinder turbos, the acrid scent of racing fuel hangs over the asphalt, and the collective roar of the crowd punctuates every blazing-fast pass.  

Now expanded to a "Mitsubishi vs. The World" format, the event features a diverse field of rivals, from A90 Supras to EcoBoost machines, all battling for dominance in an array of fiercely contested classes.  Beyond the lightning-quick elapsed times and spectacular wheel-stands on the dragstrip, the event buzzes with a massive car show, an autograph session, and the camaraderie of a tightly-knit enthusiast community, making it an essential, electrifying weekend for anyone passionate about import performance.
