Day 1 results of The Mickey Thompson Turn & Burn

Day 1 race results of the Mickey Thompson Turn & Burn presented by Summit Racing Equipment powered by Sick the Mag at Summit Motorsports Park is  in the books. Mother Nature ended race day number 2 for us yesterday, but the competition is  heating up for race day number 3 today!

From 200+ MPH passes in Unlimited to packed DYO fields, racers came ready to throw down at America’s Racetrack.

A few Day 1 standouts:

• Nick Taylor leads Unlimited with a 6.789 at 208 MPH

• Alex Taylor ripped off a 6.636 at 220 MPH in Unlimited Iron

• David Diehl paced Pro Modified Radial with a 6.878 at 200 MPH

• Rick “180” Russell leads 275 Radial with an 8.609 at 153 MPH

After Mother Nature washed out Day 2 of the Mickey Thompson Turn & Burn at Summit Motorsports Park, racers now have double the pressure heading into today’s action. Competitors will be turning in two time slips before racing wraps up today, all in hopes of putting together the best overall average to claim the custom Mickey Thompson Turn & Burn trophy!
